Frequently asked questions
In our work, we always come across the same questions, so we decided to write this post to answer the most frequently asked ones. Without further ado, here are the seven most important questions:
1.Can we work on your materials?
Yes, of course we can, but we have a requirement for the materials themselves, because they must withstand between 150 and 190 degrees C, therefore they need to be of higher quality. In most cases, it must be 100 percent cotton to meet these requirements. We also ask that they be well washed if you have worn them before.
If you are wondering if we can print on sportswear that is polyester fabric, yes we have a solution for that too, but there the thickness of the fabric and whether it would withstand high temperature is important. That is, with this type of fabric, it is best to send us a sample or come to the location to make sure whether we can produce the image you want or not.
2. What files do we need/what files do we work with?
When you want us to make you a customized order and more specifically, a company logo, it is most convenient for us if you provide us with a working file of your logo in CorelDraw or Illustrator file. In this way, we will be able to directly make your t-shirts in less time and without having to pay extra for making a logo.
If you want to print a certain image on a t-shirt, it is important to select photos in JPEG or PNG format with high resolution so that they can be of high quality and recognizable.
Of course we can always make any t-shirt designs from scratch for you, but of course this may add a day to your given deadline.
3. What is the difference between the files?
When you provide us with work files, we have the opportunity to make your t-shirt faster and with better quality. Also, the given logo is preserved as much as possible and can be reduced and enlarged countless times while the quality remains the same. This happens because of the very nature of the file and the line. These types of files are called vector, and they use mathematical equations, lines and curves with fixed points on a grid to generate an image, line or path. For this and these files are worked on certain type of programs such as CorelDraw and Illustrator.
The other type of files are bitmaps. Raster files are images made up of pixels – small colored squares that, in large quantities, can form very detailed images, such as photographs. The more pixels an image has, the higher the quality will be. And the quality of the image itself is also called resolution. That is, how many pixels are contained.
4. What are the types of printing and what does the final result look like?
Direct printing
Direct printing (DTG printing) is a good choice for printing cotton fabrics and materials such as: t-shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts, covers, children’s bodysuits, etc. In this type of technology, the printer injects ink directly into the fabric, after which it is baked at a high temperature and thus seals the image on the fabric of the textile. The print becomes long-lasting and highly resistant to washing, does not fade, does not crack or peel off. It can be applied to both white and light, as well as black and colored fabrics. Possibility of a professional end result with photographic quality. When touched, the product retains the feeling of softness and flexibility. With this type of service, both single pieces and small and large editions can be printed.
Transfer printing
We also offer all kinds of thermal transfer prints, which are a good solution for thicker fabrics and those that do not have a high cotton content. Here it can be embossed and therefore you can feel it to the touch. It is extremely durable and has the ability to produce great finished products with rich colors and density.
DTF printing
DTF printing is a new technology with improved ink and adhesive durability. Ideal for workwear such as coveralls, jackets, hats, gym and cycling wear. It doesn’t crack like screen printing, which means it has a very soft feel to the touch due to the water-based ink used. Also lately we have been using it for young creator designs, where the color gradient works best and the end result is very satisfying. Here, however, the seal can become very dense, which in turn makes the material unable to breathe, which would create discomfort and an unpleasant feeling. However, we have found a way to change the design very slightly in relation to the color combination, so that the design can become breathable and comfortable to wear.
It is also important to note that with us you can make embroidery and sublimation on polyester fabrics and cups, which opens up completely new possibilities for your final product.
5. How long does the production take?
Things happen fast with us. We always try to make our products within a working day or two and we are always on time. If your order consists of one t-shirt that is for a gift or other occasion, you can be sure that we will make it within one or two working days.
If the desired order is medium, that is, it consists of 5 to 15 t-shirts, we have the opportunity to make it within two to three working days. Of course, there is also the possibility that we are busy at the moment and then the production may take a maximum of 5 working days, therefore we ask you to allow at least one working week for the production of your average order.
For larger orders over 20 pcs. it’s nice to allow two weeks for production to make sure we’ll be on time with the order. Other factors that affect the order fulfillment time are whether we have the file or have yet to produce it, how (by which type of printing) the order itself must be produced and whether we have the quantity of t-shirts available or have yet to order it.
Another way to find out how long your order will take (especially if it’s bigger) is to contact us on Viber on 0899 86 7491 with the information ready.
6. How big can the print be?
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, because there are some factors that matter. At Project Studio, we always try to ensure that the final product satisfies the client and that the space is optimally utilized, but there are also some regularities that we comply with.
One of the things is the size of the garment we make, because when the size is small we have the opportunity to make a large print, but because of the body calls, there is no way that everything can be visible at the same time. For this reason, we always make our prints optimally large, that is, if we have a design on the front, we make it visible on the front so that the image is recognizable/readable. If we have a large size, however, we can only afford to do a maximum of 50cm by 30cm at a time due to the size of our press. For some types of printing, we can afford larger designs, but for them it is best to contact us first to clarify the details of this more specific order.
Another factor we consider is the type of seal. Some types of printing have the possibility to be larger and enlarged because each element is separate and can be added, removed and spread over the area of the textile, while others are direct, have to be done once and the maximum size there is 40 at 35. Of course each has its own advantages and disadvantages, that’s why we are here to advise you on what is best for you.
And of course we consider the price that suits you the most. This is always an important aspect that we always discuss with our customers, because the price here can vary between 10-20 BGN for each t-shirt depending on the size of the print and the type of print. Of course, we are willing to do everything we can to make the end user happy, as long as the idea is respected.
7. Through which platform can you most easily contact us?
